Posebna aplikacijska tehnologija AM: Interreg omrežje za izobraževanje in hitro izdelavo prototipov/Anwendungsspezifische AM-Technologie: Interregnetzwerk für Bildung
Common challenge: The two high technology sites Region Ljubljana and Technology Park Villach both aim for visibility on a supra-regional and European level. Due to their geographical proximity, cooperation between the two regions would be of great advantage to increase the number of actors (reaching critical mass). There is an opportunity in the field of AM (Additive Manufacturing) technology.
The overall project objective is to strengthen cross-border competition, research and innovation through the establishment of a joint AM technology platform.
Change: In the present project ASAM the cooperation of both regions in the priority area “Additive Manufacturing AM” will be raised to a professional level and a joint cross-border AM platform will be established. The medium-term objective is to develop the macro-region (Slovenia, Austria, Northern Italy, Croatia) into a European leader region for AM technologies.
Main outputs: (1) Knowledge database (a) to present the competences in the project consortium (b) for possible cooperation partners in the macro region (2) Infrastructure in the form of three real laboratories and a virtual FabLab (3) Common business model to ensure sustainability.
This benefits SMEs, professionals, students, researchers, the general public and the project consortium.
Planned approach: The project will create something new by (1) building a common understanding about the possibilities and strengths of the other project partners (2) building infrastructure through a virtual cross-border and real laboratories (3) building a common business model and service processes.
The necessity of cross-border cooperation results from the required mix of competences, the required generality, the required market opportunities.
