Within the frame of the cross-border Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Slovenia-Austria, 49 projects have been approved so far, with a total contractual value of EUR 46.1 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The programme co-finances activities on three priority axes. In the area of “Enhancing Institutional Capacity and an Efficient Public Administration” (Priority Axis 3), 14 projects were approved for a total value of ca. 12.6 million EUR ERDF. Despite the fact that the programme successfully pursues the established performance framework and reaches most of the defined programme indicators, at the programme level the indicator relating to projects that involve research institutions in the field of management and beneficial use of water resources (priority axis 2, investment priority 6f) has not been reached yet.

In accordance with conclusion 2 of the 16 Written Procedure, the Monitoring Committee decided to issues a focused 7th deadline of the Open Call for the submission of projects on the programme website on 27 September 2020.

The focused deadline is open for project proposals from the 2nd priority axis, investment priority 6f, involving research institutions in the field of management and beneficial use of water resources as project partners. The 7th deadline for the submission of project applications closes on 28 September 2020 at 12 p.m. (noon). Given the amount of available programme funds and the achievement of the programme indicator, it is recommended that the potential partnerships do not exceed a budget of 350.000 EUR ERDF.
